When I first launched this blog last July, I wrote a couple posts detailing my thoughts on fashion ad campaigns, particularly the H&M Fall 2013 campaign and Proenza Shouler Fall 2013 campaign. I only went as far as writing two blog posts, but I really enjoyed researching upcoming campaigns by designer labels and writing about them from my perspective.
Although I am a novice blogger, I am beginning to realize just how vast and diverse the fashion industry is. Creativity is booming in this industry, and designers left and right are breathing life into their own original concepts and unique collections of stunning pieces.
And so I am launching a new monthly series called the “Designer Diary,” a segment on the blog dedicated to discovering and recognizing up-and-coming designers. During the initial developmental stages of this series, I was surprised to find that such a large database of young designers existed, many of whom have yet to even materialize their concepts into a tangible form.
With this series, it is my hope to discover and support the emerging designer while appreciating the talent that makes up the fashion industry. I am excited to begin this new journey, and I hope that you will join in as well!
